Лекция будет прочитана на Kyujanggak Korean Studies Colloquium, который будет проходить с 16:00 до 18:00 в Kyujanggak Auditorium, B1, Kyujanggak Institute for Korean Studies (Bldg 103), Seoul National University. Должно быть весьма познавательно.
Martina Deuchler offers her reflections on the last 40 years of Korean Studies as well as her views on the prospects and future direction of the field. She first arrived at Kyujanggak in 1967 as a young researcher immediately after receiving her Ph.D. from Harvard University. Her groundbreaking first book, Confucian Gentlemen and Barbarian Envoys, pioneered the field of Korean Studies while a subsequent book, The Confucian Transformation of Korea, was awarded the Chang Chi-yôn Award for Korean History in 1993.
Prof. Deuchler now resides in Switzerland.
